A new policy for Peter Whatshisname?
I am sure that Peter Whatshisname, allegedly Leader of the Coalition of the Conservative in NSW, and his policy advisors was reading this article with interest.
I can already hear Debnam’s usual refrain: “From day one, I will instruct the Education DG to get teachers to write newspaper articles extolling my virtues or face lower salaries.”

This is a classic case of projection. It’s the Left that demands ideological conformity in education – and gets it.

I’m not against tenured academics (remember them?) being asked to show their worth by publishing, though it can be taken too far especially with less permanent staff.
Ideological conformity EP? Hardly. How can teaching classes that make you think about issues from multiple angles be described as conformist? You sometimes seem more interested in labels than the good folk at Resistance.

There’s no minimum or quota, Oz, but funding is contingent on the number of publications produced by Faculties within any given university.

Isn’t Niyazov the one who put a gold statue of himself on top of the Parliament, and arranged so that it rotated 360° every day to permanently face the sun?
