Gay sex causes earthquakes
I was wrong - it isn’t generations of conflict that kills thousands of innocent Jews, Muslims, Christians and athiests that pisses God off and makes him want to get Old Testament on us - it the hot gay sex of the inhabitants of Judea and Samaria.
AN Israeli parliamentarian says several earthquakes felt in Israel recently were a consequence of gays and the parliament’s acceptance of them.
Let’s ignore the natural movement of the tetonic plates, it’s actually the repetitive thrusting of a penis into a male anus that is the true hypocentre of the earthquake, sending seismic waves of sinful pleasure through the participants and, presumably, into the environment around them.
Shocking stuff.
Shlomo Benizri, of the ultra-Orthodox Jewish Shas Party, said the way to stop the tremors was for parliament to reverse its trend of liberalising laws concerning homosexuals.
“Why do earthquakes happen? One of the reasons is the things to which the Knesset (parliament) gives legitimacy, to sodomy,” Mr Benizri said during a parliamentary debate on earthquake preparedness.
The root cause of earthquakes in the region, so to speak, is obviously the cruising of the african and arabian plates past each other. Yet another damning argument against gay cruising.

Double standards on an inconvenient truth
I read the following article about the Andrew Johns situation with great interest:
31/08/2007 8:40:00 AM.
AUDIO: We had our suspicions: Gallop
The NRL admits it heard rumours about Andrew Johns’ drug use, but did nothing about it.
The league great was only tested on average twice each season since 1998, even though Johns says the Knights were well aware of the problem.
Johns admits he often took ecstasy after Friday night matches.
NRL boss David Gallop insists the league did all it could.
“You hear rumours about a lot of issues in our game and a lot of players,” he said.
“The fact is you can only deal with the clear facts when you’ve got them in front of you, not rumours.”
So how does this explain the treatment of the Bulldogs Football Club in 2004? The NRL levelled a $500,000 fine on the club on the basis of rumours (including an incorrect police report read out by shock jock Ray Hadley on Sydney radio that was the subject of an internal police investigation).
A few questions for the NRL.
Was Johns a protected species due to his profile and the importance of his image to the game?
Will the Newcastle Rugby League Club now face sanctions for ‘bringing the game into disrepute’ over its knowledge of the Johns affair?
And will the revelation of the truth surrounding the Johns’ drug allegations now lead the NRL to investigate the other, less savoury, rumours that have floated around the game’s next immortal?
The stink of double standards is overwhelming.
Four months of hell?
Well four months of my life has gone into securing 4 more years of a Morris Iemma Government. Let’s hope they can do something to justify my time, not that I did not enjoy it on some levels. I had an amazingly energetic candidate who seems to believe in many of the same ideals I hold dear. I also gained such a wealth of experience in organising and campaigning that has got to become useful at some stage I guess.
Time really flies when your sleeping a mximum of 5 hours a night, handing out at railway stations at 6am, door-knocking in heat that reached 37 degrees and 100% humidity, writing direct mails, fundraising, responding to constituent reps, receiving hate mail and love letters, replacing corflutes that have been knocked off, etc, etc.
Just to celebrate a return to normalacy I thought I’d take 5 minutes to post on the much neglected Stoush.
A few points for any readers left here to ponder before I go to help scrutineer in a marginal.
- Why did the libs find it neccesary to scan in our letterhead and send out letters to voters with false election campaign events?
- Why did the Greens not bother to staff more than 3 booths after getting a preference deal out of us in exchange for their #2’s?
- Why are voters so fricking STUPID? Ours, theirs, and in between?
- Getting a letter in your mailbox is NOT an invasion of privacy MR FREAKSHOW VOTER and the ‘mailing list’ is the electoral roll so F*CK OFF!
- No ma’am, Jack Lang is not running in this election sorry.
- You want to vote for Rudd? Of course we’re on his team, for sure! Vote here…
- You want to vote for Howard? Of course we’re on his team, for sure! Vote here…
and lastly
- WHO THE FUCK THOUGHT IT A GOOD IDEA TO HAVE THE STATE ELECTION CAMPAIGN IN AN AUSTRALIAN SUMMER???? MUTHAFCKING CRACKSMOKING ARSEHOLE!!!!!!
Anyone want to hire an ex-Secret Service agent?
How about two? Because these guards are certainly searching for a new job!
First Daughter Barbara Bush Robbed In Argentina…
First Daughter Barbara Bush had her purse and cell phone stolen as she had dinner in a restaurant in Buenos Aires, Argentina, even though she was being guarded by a detail of Secret Service agents, according to law enforcement reports made available to ABC News.
Perhaps they were playing lacrosse instead of trying to protect the spawn of W?

Either hire the pick-pocket or sack the guards for extreme dereliction of duty!
Alan Jones: You d**khead.
I have a new hero - former St George halfback Billy Smith.
At the send-off for the Australian Rugby League team last night, Smith was invited as a previous winner of the Harry Sunderland award and took the microphone after Alan Jones gave the main speech.
Alan, that was the worst fucking thing I have ever heard.
You’re from another sport; rugby union. You know nothing about football, you dickhead.
Hats off to you, Mr Smith.
RIP John Ryan MLC
Until Debnam’s extraordinary attack on Debus, Coalition politics were getting a bit repetitive. Yell at each other, leak to the press, dump another leader, dump a frontbencher from the moderates for God-squad member, start again.
One senior Labor official summed it up perfectly when he said,
they hate each other more than they hate us.
And it is good to see that a bit of argy-bargy with the actual enemy, the NSW Labor Party, was not enough to disuade the Liberals from their civil war.
Yesterday the NSW Liberal Party dumped frontbencher John Ryan in favour of Marie Ficcara. Marie’s qualification, apart from being a failed Member for Georges River, is being a member of the dominant Right faction.
John Ryan was a nice guy. In fact that will be written on his gravestone.
Incidently he also looks like Ned Flanders. But that’s neither here nor there.
The closest he could come to condemnation of his Party was this:
It’s no secret that I’m a moderate and interested in social issues and interested in a social portfolio. It’s pretty obvious that that was rejected.
Hopefully obvious enough for the electorate. Fingers crossed.

RIP John Ryan MLC
Orkopoulos rushed to hospital
Orkopoulos rushed to hospital in Newcastle
SYDNEY, Nov 14 AAP - Dumped NSW Aboriginal affairs minister Milton Orkopoulos has been taken to a Newcastle hospital after being found slumped behind the wheel of his car, sources say. While not naming Mr Orkopoulos, the NSW Ambulance Service said a man aged in his 40s was taken to Newcastle’s Mater hospital at 1.45pm (AEDT) today.
He was attended to by ambulance officers on the Pacific Highway at Charlestown.
A spokeswoman said it was unclear why the man had been taken to hospital, or what his condition was.
Mr Orkopoulos, 49, was last week charged with 30 sex and drug offences and dumped from the Iemma front bench. He yesterday resigned from parliament.

High Court Decision
An amazing read but ultimately boiled down to this:
ORDER
In each matter:
1. The defendant’s demurrer to the statement of claim is allowed.
2. Judgment for the defendant with costs.
For an entertaining read refer to the dissenting judgement of Kirby (and agreed with by Callinan).
A needless exercise? If s 51(xx) of the Constitution now provides a legitimate source for a comprehensive federal law with respect to industrial disputes, by inference it always did. All those hard-fought decisions of this Court and the earnest presentation of cases, the advocacy and the judicial analysis and elaboration within them concerning the ambit of s 51(xxxv) of the Constitution, were (virtually without exception) a complete waste of this Court’s time and energies.
And later.
The Commonwealth’s demurrer to the plaintiffs’ statements of claim in each action should be overruled. There should be judgment in each action for the plaintiffs. This Court should declare the Workplace Relations Amendment (Work Choices) Act 2005 (Cth) invalid in its entirety under the Constitution. The Commonwealth should pay the costs of the plaintiffs in each action.
Mandates, democracy and a touch of local government
I was reading a blog entry on the idea of “mandate” at the Democrat aligned Huffington Post and I got a little angry. Why must those on the centre-left use the terminology of the right?
An hour of vote tabulation reveals a stunning fact: Democrats won the popular vote for the Senate by an overwhelming 12.6% margin - 55%/42.4%. “Bipartisanship” and “compromise” are today’s buzzwords, when the phrase on everybody’s lips should be “mandate for dramatic change” - especially in Iraq.
Mandate, shmandate. Even ignoring the fact more democratic seats were contested than republican ones, no vote delivers a ‘mandate’ for an issue unless the election question is “do you want x or y option”. Voting for a candidate or a Party cannot be taken to mean a blind endorsement of sketchy campaign promises and agendas. I suppose this comes back to the idea that a democracy is not something a citizen should think of once every election cycle but rather a day by day, or week by week responsibility.
Having parties from the centre and centre-left accept the line that once elected they can do what they want is troubling. Instead of engaging the community and trying to involve people in the processes of government we see increasing disconnect - look to the example of the NSW ALP for proof of that. A more out-of-touch and hard-to-reach group cannot be found.
Anyway, before I shift away from US politics, here is an interesting view on the importance of state legislatures for the Democrats. I think something can be gained from this when considering local government as a training ground for state and federal politicians in Australia. A strong push to bring people through could see the removal of the stereotypical old man local councillor with strong relationships with local developers, it may also see a more in touch politician at the higher level - after dealing with peoples garbage bins and pet complaints you must learn to listen and act to survive! Anything to raise standards in our elected representatives is good…
Orkopoulos gone, Hickey going
F**K ME DEAD - MORE????
How long did Orkopoulos know? Why didn’t he leave gracefully much earlier?
How long has Hickey been an idiot? We didn’t WE realise earlier??
