I think Doug Cameron would be a great representative for working people in Australia, and a great advocate for keeping manufacturing and R&D jobs in Australia and for a government role in developing those high value added industries.
I think he will also be active and vocal on many other issues, and will be less likely to play factional and sub-factional games within in the caucus, and would instead work to serve the interests of the whole party and its working class voters first and foremost.

You’re kidding, right? I’m in a faction myself, and I’m not one of those people that thinks that people must be either factional players or good politicians but never both. But to suggest that someone like Cameron wouldn’t be factional is bizarre.
