Daily Graphic Horror, GetUp style
Below is the graphic currently appearing on the GetUp website. I mean, I just flicked through to see what they were up to and got the shock of my life. When you click on said graphic from the front page, it links to GetUp’s climate action campaign - but there’s nothing on the front page to suggest that by clicking, you won’t be accessing badly photoshopped activist pron. I’m actually suprised that I clicked on it at all, because there is no way that I want to inadvertently load up pron starring women in ubiquitous Bonds t-shirts with disproportionately massive heads, poorly-dressed Nathan Rees impersonators, and a large crowd including what appears to be the triplets or possibly quadruplets in identical hats, all set at a wind fam with phallic turbines gently rotating in the background. Especially not when I’m at work.
If you can’t clean up your homepage, what makes you think you can clean up the world? That is all.

Maybe it’s just me, but the phrase, “we’re up for it” isn’t exactly conducive to clicking either. Especiailly if you’re at work.

Mind you, I’ve just found out that the new national director of GetUp is in fact 22 years old. I was pretty randy at that age, so you know, stuff begins to make sense.
