Choose Hillary's Campaign Song
Via salon, Hillary Clinton asks the (US) public for help in picking her campaign song from a list on her website. After Labor’s disappointingly insipid effort with “Change in the Weather”, I am as keen as mustard for some ridiculous campaign song action.
My pick was “I’m a believer” by Smash Mouth. Because I am mean.

Hey, if it was my campaign I’d choose Simply the Best. And get Bill to sing it on top of a bridge somewhere.

Bill Clinton would in my view only be an appropriate performer if the campaign song were “She’s a Lady” with accompanying pelvic thrusts in a lounge suit somewhere. I think we should be leaving him out of the equation.
does not a very good advertisement make.

Do you think Hillary’s campaign team really think it would be OK to choose a campaign song by an Irish (U2) or Canadian (Shania Twain) artist? Or do they not know they’re not American?
(I picked the Dixie Chicks, both as a ‘fuck-you’ to GWB and because I couldn’t resist the delicious irony of “Ready to [cut and] Run”.)

Glenda Kwek is a hack. I mean, what sort of name is Kwek anyway? I have left a message there, can you guess which one?
