Mr Rudd also said he did not care if Labor MPs were union members, despite it being a party rule. He dismissed it as a technicality but refused to put a motion to the party conference to change it.
”I don’t think people take it all that seriously,” he said.
Mr Rudd said he was a paid up member of a Queensland public servants union.

I know of a number of Young Labor Unity staffers who are not union members. He’s right in a sense that many people don’t take it seriously unfortunately.
