Stoush.net is an experiment in left-wing community argument and discourse. Pick an issue out and try us, the number of stoushers is unlimited.

Our resident mascot, who you will find at the top right hand corner, is known as Stoushy the Possum. Stoushy is a common brushtail, trichosurus vulpecula, a marsupial native to Australia but a very damaging pest in New Zealand. Brushtails are nocturnal, highly territorial, combatively stoushy amongst themselves and very noisy.

It’s hard to tell whether Stoushy is a male or female possum. Male brushtails are generally larger than females and carry distinctive red chest markings. As Stoushy is, until now, a monochrome possum, the only way to tell would be to pick him or her up and have a look (a course of action not recommended).

Any visual artists visiting stoush.net are welcome to try to draw an improved Stoushy.
